{March Madness Countdown}

So far, March is my favorite month here in the south. Jason and I were here last year around this time and we both were in awe over the weather. Spring isn’t officially here but it sure does feel like it. I absolutely love the weather. It is so beautiful outside and everything is in full bloom. The only downside...I think we all might have to start taking allergy medication. My poor Bry is probably going to have to be put on something a little bit stronger.



There is so much to be said for this month. We have already celebrated one birthday and in just 7 days, we will be celebrating another birthday. I’m trying really hard to avoid the fact that my daughter is going to be turning 11. So for now, I will not “talk” about it even though she reminds me every morning when she wakes up and every night before she goes to bed.


At the end of this month, we will be half way through our “first” deployment. The kids were pretty excited last week when they took off one of their chains and realized that this Sunday (tomorrow) will mark 15 weeks left...which means we can count by 5’s. “Three more sets of fives left.” I guess this is a pretty big deal since they all get the counting by 5’s concept now =)


I should also mention that in just 5 days, my mom and dad will be making their way out here for a visit. I know you can’t see my excitement through the screen but I am pretty much doing cartwheels in my living room. Okay maybe not but if there were enough room to do them without breaking something or myself I totally would! I am always excited to see my family but I am REALLY looking forward to this visit. I am so excited to have another “grown-up” in the house.

Can this possibly mean that I get to have a real adult conversation? Wait, what is that? You mean to tell me that I actually get to have a conversation that includes words other than “why are they so annoying” or “she won’t play with me” and “he isn’t sharing.” Let me get this straight, my vocabulary is going to extend farther than counting? Okay now I really am doing cartwheels!!!


For those of you who know my parents well or rather my dad, you know that he likes to venture. He has been busy compiling his research about the sites and happenings in and around our area. Shhh...Don't tell him I know, but I'm pretty sure he's been doing it ever since they left after their Christmas visit. The kids will be on Spring Break while they are here so...stay tuned for the “Wonderful Adventures with Grampy & Grammy!”
