Yesterday, I heard a song on another blog that I love to stalk.
The video that was created made me tear up pretty bad but, the song hit me even harder. I had never heard of the artist Andrew Peterson. If you haven’t heard his stuff, google him he’s pretty great. I found the song from the blog, downloaded it, and now I have it saved as my ringtone for my phone [a little neurotic, probably] =)
Jason’s deployment has left me all over the board. We are close but not close enough. Over the past couple of weeks, things have been a little tough on the emotional side. Somewhere in all of the crazy mess, I have found myself feeling like I was losing my connection to him. But then I heard this song.
It's been harder than I ever imagined missing My Jay this much but, we will continue to sail through the storm until he makes his way back home because I do believe with all of my heart that that's what the promise is for.
To My Jay,
I can't wait to dance with you again! I love you 4-always & ever!!
I've not ever heard this song but it's awesome for sure!
ReplyDeleteWow! This song is so beautiful. My husband was 19 and I was 21 when we got married :) Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful song. I'm going to download it now.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you decided to link-up! Welcome!
Great song Pick- Nice to hear something new. Hang in there I sure know it's hard when our men are deployed- but there are a lot of us going through it as well- so feel free to vent. Welcome glad you linked up!
ReplyDeleteI love this song! It made me cry the first time I heard it:)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you linked up - because I never would have heard this song, and because I might not have ever found your blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm also glad it took me a few days to get through the link list this time around, because tonight I have time to really LISTEN to this song (for like the third time in a row now)
I am BAWLING right now. :) Good tears, of course.
Sometimes, when promises are all we have left, we have to realize just how valuable those promises are.
Hang in there, you'll be done with this deployment before you know it!
