We've woken up to a few mornings of Ella “enchantments” scattered
around the house. We’ve waited patiently for the sun to set, for the lights on
the tree to come on, and for the hot cocoa to cool in our mugs just so we could
reveal our nightly reading surprises.
I must admit, our December has started out pretty great! If
Daddy were home, things would be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Luckily, we are down to the final stretch.
As of today, we are counting down BIG!!!!
In just 5 DAYS Grampy and Grammy will be here!!!!!
5 days after that....
DADDY WILL BE HOME!!!!!
(and he won’t have to go back)
Needless to say, we are pretty excited to get this week over
with!!!!
There has been some interest in our new family member and I
did promise that I would post some updates about the mischievous acts that are
bound to happen this month.
We have all come to love Ella. Travin has been sick
this week and Ella has made him feel so much better. They spent some time
together watching TV, coloring, and even playing cars. Travin even took the time to draw a
portrait of her. Why, simply because “I love her mommy.”
Kalyssa has formed an
extra tight bond with her because “Ella has blue eyes just like me! Now there are
two of us in the family who have blue eyes. I’m not the only one now!” Looks like I’m
the odd one out now at casa de Mall, with my green eyes. =)
This was how we spent our first week with Ella.
Ella drew Travin a portrait to say thank you for the portrait that was drawn for her.
Ella drew a Gingerbread picture to match the one Bryanna drew.
Ella made up a poem that reminded her of the poem that Kalyssa brought home from school.
Ella decided to play with Travin's cars.
Ella decided that she needed a relaxing bubble bath.
As for our nightly book un-wrapping, we now have 6 less
books under the tree! =)
This week Kalyssa and Trav got an extra surprise when their
favorite big sister in the whole wide world decided to read them the book she
unwrapped!
So many surprises are left as we continue our
Christmas Countdown Celebration!
I wonder what “enchantments” are
in store for us next week?
