In case you hadn't heard,
getting ready for Christmas is my absolute favorite thing to do.

This year things have been a little different.
With Jason being away and me being confined to the big ugly black
boot, we have had to make a few adjustments here and there.
Decorating the house has taken a little extra time but we
worked our magic and somehow managed to get it all done.
The very last thing that we do every year as a family is, hang ornaments on our Christmas tree. We all have our special “Christmas Tree Duties”.
I unwrap and pass out the ornaments, the children take turns hanging the ornaments
on the tree, and Daddy places our tree topper (this year it will be Cinderella holding
the American flag) on top of our tree.

Our tree is almost done but it won’t be completely finished until
Daddy makes his way home next week.
Of course decorating wouldn’t be complete without
some hot cocoa with “shmarsmellows”
a few Christmas games
and a little bit of puppy love!
