{Friday Fun With Military Spouses: 5-13-11}

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

1. Which was the best day of your life- Wedding day or Homecoming day? submitted by Pink Champagne, Gatorade & MREs

Wedding #1 was pretty great!

Wedding #2 was more than I ever could have asked for!

Homecoming #1 was pretty great!

Homecoming #2...I can’t even begin to explain how much I want my husband home!

I don’t think that these two things can be compared. Well, I can’t compare them anyways. They are two completely different situations. The emotions are different and the circumstances are different. The events all together are different.

I will say that becoming the wife to My Jay was one of the best days of my life EVER!!!That was the day our journey together began. I have a sneaky suspicion that welcoming him home and being able to hold him in my arms again is going to be right up there with a pretty amazing day, at least in my book.

2. Were you apart of the joining the military question or did you sign up for the relationship when your man was already in the military? submitted by Cammo Style Love

I am very proud to say that I was with him every step of the way. I was the first person who knew about his decision to join. I was with him at every recruiter’s appointment. We drove together to MEPS every single time they lost the things they needed to complete his enlistment process. I was with him when he took his military oath. I was with him when he boarded the plane that transported him to Basic Training. I waited for the phone calls. I watched him graduate from Basic Training and then I married him because I knew that no matter what happened in life, I didn’t want to do it without him by my side.

3. What is your favorite Disney movie and why? submitted by Raising Roscoe

Unfair question!!! I have so many that I love! I am a huge Disney Dork after all =) If I had to choose one, I would pick Beauty and the Beast. Belle is my favorite princess and I am a sucker for those cute romantic story lines. The music is pretty great too!

4. What is your favorite family activity to do on the weekends? submitted by Destination: RN!

Walks and bike rides! I miss having that as a family of 5. I also love and miss waking up to lazy Sunday mornings. Before Daddy deployed, we would make a pot of coffee (because that is priority) and then we would all pitch in and make breakfast together. After breakfast, we would just hang out in the living room for the morning. The kids usually watched TV and played with their toys while Daddy and Mommy read the Sunday paper.

5. Where do you secretly wish you could be stationed with you/your SO’s line of work (realistically speaking, not everyone can be stationed on NAS Fiji)? submitted by Wookie & Co.

I would love to experience one overseas tour. Italy or Germany would be my two top picks. I would love love love to be able to travel through Europe.
