One
of the BEST things about living in Louisiana
is
being able to celebrate
Mardi
Gras!!!
This
past weekend we headed out to our first parade of the season. Parades pretty
much dominate the weekends throughout the state during the Mardi Gras season.
We have a couple more lined up before it is all said and done but this one was
kind of special.
Last
year the kids and I got the chance to experience our very first parade with the
help of some really great friends but unfortunately we had to do it all without
Jason.
This
year deployment was not a factor so we were able to introduce him to a good ol’
Louisiana style celebration.
In case you were wondering it really does get cold here. It was freezing outside (not literally...but pretty dang close). Good thing I had My Jay to keep me warm =)
Thanks to our amazing friends...
We were able to enjoy the parade from a pretty great spot...
THE BEGINNING
of the route!!!!
One last shot with my favorite boy of all time!!
"Throw Me Something Mister"
I think we got their attention!! =)
I have a few more pictures that I will be sharing very soon. Today is Thursday and I couldn't let the day slip away (again) without sharing a few picture perfect moments with my favorite {embracers}!!!

Very fun!

We have jars and boxes full of beads!!! This is only our 2nd year doing this so I'm not sure what we will do with them. We are running out of places to put them =)
