Summer session officially started =(
As I stare at everything I have to try to accomplish over
the next three weeks, I can feel my head already starting to explode! Luckily,
my instructors are very organized and they have both graciously laid out
everything in a step by step fashion. So now all I have to do is GET IT DONE!!!
Anyhow, my time is limited but, I seriously couldn’t let the
week slip me by without sharing some pictures of our weekend festivities.
Over the weekend, we traveled to Arlington to spend some
much needed time with our favorite Texas family. We were invited to attend our nephew’s
high school graduation ceremony (sniff sniff). Yes I cried!!!
I must share that this now official high school graduate
holds a very special place in all of our hearts and we feel so very fortunate
to have the relationship we do with him! He’s a pretty awesome guy!!
For those of you who don’t already know, Ricky is Jason’s
nephew whom I adopted as my own before he was even 1!!! The very first time I
met Ricky, he was in an infant carrier car seat. His big brown eyes melted my heart
from the very first moment Jason introduced us. There are many things that I
will treasure about the times Jason and I were able to share with Ricky throughout
the past 18 years, but my personal favorite memories will always include the
bond we created through our secret Spanish conversations =)
We weren’t sure if we were going to be able to attend the
graduation ceremony because as you know, each graduate is only entitled to a
certain number of tickets and between the Mall’s and the Wyatt’s, well let's just
say that we pretty much have our very own baseball organization established!!! However, Ricky and my amazing sister-in-law battled their way through
all of the obstacles and made sure that our two families had enough tickets to
attend. THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! Both Jason and I feel honored to
have sat next to the Wyatt family and watched as Ricky started a new chapter in
his life!!!
There is no where else we would have wanted to be this weekend, even if we hadn't been able to attend the ceremony and even though it meant getting home at 2 AM!!!! =)
Without further ado,
Class of 2012
Graduate
Enrique Llamas Jr.
Congratulations Ricky!!!

You're braver than you believe,
and stronger than you seem,
and smarter than you think.”
