Over the past couple of days, I have noticed family and
friends sharing their one little word for 2014.
Not really knowing too much about it, I became inspired to learn.
Here are some words that moved me to think about one little word for myself;
“And what do you do with this one little word? You live with
it. You invite it into your life. You let it speak to you. You might even
follow where it leads. There are so many possibilities.
One little word…
Easy peasy, right?!?!?
Not so much!
Until I read this

As I reflected back on my year, I realized that I spent most of the year simply trying to hold on. Making it week by week, day by day. More times than not, I became that person who was simply "going" through life.
Change. Thrive. Become. Mature.

The notion of growing makes me smile. I believe it fits the many facets of my life.

As a mother.
As a wife.
As a daughter.
As a friend.
As a runner.
As a teacher.
Grow is a word filled with effort. Growth is a process of change, an opportunity
to push myself to do better and go further. Grow means life and living.
Rising.
Building. Stretching.

I want to GROW in my faith and my relationship with God.
I want to GROW the love I have for my children.
I want to GROW the relationship I have with my husband.
I want to GROW the relationships I treasure with
family and friends.
I want to GROW more patience through daily trials and tribulations.
I want to GROW my understanding of circumstances outside my control.
I want to GROW my passion as a runner finding the balance I need
to keep me moving.
I want to GROW the passion I have for my students and my job as I continue the journey of learning.
I want to grow.
I think I'm ready.
I hope I'm ready.
