Friday Fill In with Wife of a Sailor
1. Since most of the country has had nasty weather, what has your weather been like this week?
WE GOT SNOW IN LOUISIANA!!!!
2. What is/are your best money saving tip(s)?
Coupons, coupons, & coupons. During non-deployment times, I usually plan my meals 2 weeks at a time. It helps so that I’m not running to the store all of the time. We also have an automatic funds transfer set up from our checking to our savings. Budgeting on a single family income is tough. I’m pretty sure my hubby is counting the days until I finally get my first “real” paycheck. Not that a teaching salary is all that impressive but hey after being a single income family for 10 years it will be kind of nice =)
3. What was your favorite vehicle you’ve ever owned??
My favorite car was by far the first vehicle my Jay and I ever bought together. We bought a 1999 VW Jetta. We were so proud of that purchase. It was our first purchase as a married couple. I think we both miss that car!
4. What is a question you’d like to see asked in a future fill-in? (Your question & blog just may appear one week!)
If you had to describe yourself using three words, it would be…
5. Fill in the blank: You might be a MilSpouse if…(I will be including some of your answers in a future post (with a link to your blog, of course!)
- You can unpack a house and have everything in place within a matter of a week
- Your heart skips a beat every time you see your hubby in his dress blues (It never gets old)
- You tear up when you hear "Proud to Be An American," even though you've heard it 50 times
- You don't have to think about what time 21:30 is
- You defend your lifestyle no matter how bad things get because you know there's no other life for you!
- When a simple plaque can describe your life story.

Isn't the snow just awesome today?! My sister has that same sign on her wall...except she's an Army Wife. Her's has filled up quite fast ;) You know all about my menu planning since it's on my blog...lol ;) I've tried doing it once a week and just end up reverting back to every two weeks. When Husband Man is gone on TDY trips, I go back to once a week since it's just me and the kids ;)
ReplyDeleteWhy do I not have one of those AWESOME signs?!?!?! Where did you find it, or is it another one of your crafty projects?
ReplyDelete...I want to know the same thing!!! WHERE did you get that sign??? I told you about the quilts, now spill it! LOVE YOU!!!!
