{Just Keep Running}

I recently started following a few running blogs and I have to say that these women are truly inspiring. I have to admit, when I first started reading some of their posts, I felt a little like a slacker. They make my 4 hard earned miles look like a light stroll in the park. However, the more I read, the more they inspired me to keep pushing forward.

Here are two questions that I hear A LOT? How do you run so much or why do you run? I don’t ever really have an answer for these questions and all I can ever manage to get out is that I truly enjoy it. I know crazy right? Three years ago, the word running wouldn’t have ever made it into my vocabulary and now I am on a quest to train for my first full marathon. Not just any marathon but the Goofy Challenge at Disney World which is a 1/2 marathon and a full marathon in one weekend.

Right now, I am doing little things to keep myself motivated because I do need that little extra push. I need something to look forward to at the end of my tunnel. I started a challenge at the beginning of the year that requires me to run 912 miles in order to earn a medal. I noticed this weekend as I logged in my miles for the past 2 weeks (maybe I am a little bit of a slacker) that I have officially shed 100 miles off of my journey. I started at 912 miles and now I am down to 793. Of course I was completely excited but, it also made me want to strive for a little bit more.

This month, I signed myself up for a new running challenge. My goal is to log in 93 miles during the month of March. The whole point of the challenge is to run, bike, or walk 3 miles a day every day in the month of March (3 x 31 = 93). Since one of my favorite numbers just happens to be 3, I thought to myself how cool is this challenge? I do believe that it was meant just for me! =) Okay so probably not but I really liked the idea. I know that I won’t have the chance to actually run 3 miles every day. The weekends are a little rough for me to get in a full 3 miles right now. I usually end up with 1 child (I won’t mention any names here...Miss Miss) who doesn’t want to ride her bike for that distance let alone walk so, my goal is to fit in the extra miles during the week.

I have received some messages about how to get started on a running program or how to keep up with it. I don’t consider myself to know much about any of this but I love to provide my support any way that I possibly can. I know how hard it can be especially in the beginning. So my friends, if you’d like to join me on this March challenge, please look for me at Daily Mile. If you don’t really like this challenge because you don't happen to like the number 3 as much as me, I can tell you that there are several different challenges that are listed. Anything from running and walking to biking and swimming can be found.

Oh and before I forget, I think I might finally have an answer to those questions.

Do you remember these cute pair of jeans?

Well, look what I got to wear on my date night with my friend last night!!!!!

NO jumping up and down!
NO lying down to zip them up!
NO sucking in the mommy pooch to button them up!

Not a perfect fit but, I will take it and run!
My motto...
"Just keep running..Just keep running..Just keep running!"
