{The End of 2013}

How did it get so late so soon? It’s night before its afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?  ~Dr. Seuss

The last day of 2013!!!

I remember not so long ago my parents telling me that the older one gets, the faster time flies by.  I guess I must be getting old because this year passed me by before I even had a chance to blink.

The last day of the year has always been a personal favorite.  I’ve always liked to reflect on the year not only for myself but for the whole family as well.  I love to take a moment to think about how much the kids have grown and how far they have come in a matter of months.  I love to see how much we have grown as a family of 5.

This year was a big year for all of us.  We had a lot of highs and a lot of lows.  We suffered great losses but were fortunate enough to experience the peace that comes from healing.  We learned that mistakes make us stronger and without them, we wouldn’t be able to discover who we are.  We learned how to depend on each other and how to support one another daily.  We all worked hard trying to achieve different goals but at the end of the day, we learned that goals and dreams are only possible when you have the love and support of your family.

I was sad to see that I didn’t capture that many of our memories over the past year on our blog (although I think I might have made up for it with my current addiction to Instagram).  I truly hope to do much better in 2014!!!  Until then, here is a small glimpse at our family's 2013.
